Missing in Action

Mr. Z is becoming quite a young man. Half the time when I look at him I see a little boy and the other half of the time he almost looks like a teenager! He has been sporting a mohawk for this year's soccer season. . . I guess it makes him look a little more threatening in his goalie position! He and his dad have a similar sense of humor - can you tell?

You may have noticed that Jeff and Mr. Z were absent from the pictures I just posted. That is because we took those pictures at our special Sunday morning outing before church which the children and I go on if everyone is ready on time: a really great local coffee shop where we enjoy hot drinks and bagels for breakfast. Mr. Z goes to church early with daddy to help make breakfast and/or to help with the powerpoint slides during first-service.

So. . . here is a funny picture I found from one of our favorite places to eat out for cheap! Can anyone guess where they are? Look closely and you may be able to see a few clues.

My Gorgeous Girls

Miss C is a spunky, fun-loving little girl who is on the verge of becoming a young lady. Her heart is soft towards God and she is desiring to know Him and His Word and has diligently applied herself to memorizing scripture and finding out truth!

Miss D has come out of her shell! She is a soft-spoken sweet thing who loves animals and is happy to spend her time drawing pictures, petting the dog, or engaged in pretend play alone or with the other children. She is allowing God to heal her hurt heart and is emerging as quite a lovely lady as well.

Miss A is intense (much like Speedy Mo)! She may be the smallest (right now), but she keeps up with the rest any time she is able. She is soaking up the love and has been quick to return it too. It has been really awesome to see her settle in and enjoy the security that comes from having lots of affection and lots of boundaries! What a sweetie!

My Lovely Liberians!

Big Joe is so handsome. He is growing so much in godliness and wisdom. We see maturity and great faith in him!

Speedy Mo hasn't slowed down one little bit! He is still as funny as ever. He has been working hard at obedience. "Yes, Mom" with a smile is quite common now!

Little Missy is as beautiful as ever. Her heart is just as lovely! What a strong girl she is.

please pray today

it is such a spiritual battle here today. of one thing I am sure, we don't war against flesh and blood but against the powers of darkness. Adoption is one thing that the enemy hates for sure, especially when children who would have maybe never even heard the name of Christ are now going to be brought up in a home who tries to glorify and worship him with their whole lives.

pray for our family and families surrounding us today.

there is an important court hearing today. pray that God's will would be done on earth as it is in heaven.

pray for truth to be known and lies to be exposed.

pray that He might be glorified as people look at what He is doing in our family.

Don't Vaccinate Blindly!

PLEASE, PLEASE, be INFORMED about all vaccines. . . but especially do some research before you run out and give your children or yourself this new "1-shot H1N1" vaccine. PLEASE watch the following clip all the way to the end.

Did you know the newly developed vaccine has 25,000 times the amount of mercury that would be considered toxic to us if it was in our food or water? THINK about it!

So much of the paranoia with H1N1 is media hype. People get the flu every year. If you are really worried, make sure to stop giving your children sugar every day and concentrate on building a healthy immune system so they can fight off whatever kind of flu they might come in contact with.
